1. Billing
Lessons are charged to accounts on the first of each month for that month. An email invoice will be automatically sent five days before the charge will take place as well as the same day the charge is placed. Parents can access their accounts in the student portal.

3. Refunds
There are no refunds. Account credits may be issued at the discretion of Featherstone Music.
4. Music Books
A link will be sent to purchase books online from local music retailers.
5. Lesson Start Times
All lessons are to start at the pre-arranged time through Featherstone Music unless otherwise scheduled for change between student and teacher. Teachers will wait for a maximum of 15 mins before cancelling the lesson. Missed time due to lateness is not guaranteed to be made up.
6. Scheduling
All lessons are scheduled through Rebecca@featherstonemusic.ca and not the teacher.
7. Makeup Lessons
Makeup lessons are provided when 24 hours notice is received and at the availability of the teacher. Makeup lessons are not guaranteed and are subject to two per school year (September to June)
8. Practicing
We ask that the student practices 3 to 5 days a week for the duration of time expected by their teacher to ensure proper advancement and musical development.
9. Instruments
It is required to have an instrument to practice and take lessons on. Guidance will be provided to suit every budget.
10. Parental Expectations
We always recommend parental involvement whether it be during the lesson or even taking a lesson yourself! Our teachers are always open to communication.
11. Recitals
Featherstone Music holds two yearly recitals, one in June and one in December. We encourage all students young and old to participate in these very relaxed and fun filled musical events! Special engraved medals are awarded to ALL participants at the Spring recital and holiday gift bags at the Winter recital.
12. In-Person Lessons
Teachers will travel to students homes at a 45-min minimum lesson time.
13. Online Lessons
Featherstone Music uses Musicology, a child friendly video conference platform with exceptional audio and little parental involvement required. 30-min minimum lesson time.
14. Hybrid Lessons
Once a month in person and the rest online. 45-min minimum for in-person.
15. Switching Instruments or Teachers
This can be done anytime! Please contact us.
